and Stand Against Historical Revisionism

There is a growing trend to rewrite and reinterpret history as a series of oppressions of various groups by other groups, with Christians (or Christian values) most often portrayed as the oppressors. The Pilgrims are accused of genocide, Margaret Sanger and Fidel Castor are portrayed as a heroes, and national monuments are erected to celebrate abominations. As we prepare for our December 13 court date, in regard to free speech, with the National Park Service*, the “progressive” movement continues to infiltrate our local and national government, drawing a new line for how American history should be remembered and taught. Will you help us preserve providential history for future generations?

There is a special synergy that takes place when we gather and learn together. Minds are sharpened and hearts are encouraged as we realize there are still many that believe — like we do — that God indeed works all things for His glory and our good. Friendships are forged across families (we’ve even had a marriage between two folks that met on the Atlanta tour!) and valuable contacts are made with the teaching staff. Seeds are planted, producing ideas that are then shared at home and in communities. We are reminded that God changes the world through us, dedicated minorities emboldened by examples like the “Sons of Liberty” who incubated American Independence in Philadelphia taverns and Boston meeting houses. * On December 13, Landmark Events Historian Bill Potter and I will appear in Federal Court in New Orleans to answer charges of “illegal guiding” in a National Park. After prayer and counsel, we are determined to contest the case as a matter of principle, standing up for our right to speak the truth on public lands.
