The 2A Field Trip has been cancelled for 2022.

Front Sight Firearms training facility alerted us that they were initiating  an  unforeseen and immediate “restructuring”.   While the dust settles in Nevada, we will be seeking an alternate facility to host future firearms training courses.

Event Highlights

4-Day Defensive Handgun Course at Front Sight Firearms Training Institute

This fast-paced and exciting course is taught by seasoned and professional law enforcement, military, and private citizen instructors to levels that far exceed law enforcement and military standards, without any bootcamp mentality or drill instructor attitudes. After your first firearm training course at Front Sight, you will leave with skills that surpass 99% of the gun-owning population! This is no exaggeration. Once you’ve completed your first course you’ll discover that you’ve become the self defense training expert among your peers, and you will know you are better prepared than 99% of all gun owners in America.

After-Supper History Talks

The first couple days are full and were all eager for some rest.  As the schedule lightens up on Wednesday and Thursday, Bill Potter will join us after supper and regale us with stories regarding some of his favorite weapons, the evolution of military tactics, the history of gunpowder, and other fascinating subjects .

Death Valley Day

Death Valley is the lowest (Badwater Basin sits 282 feet below sea level), the driest (less than 2” per year), and the hottest (Furnace Creek holds the world record of 134° in 1913) National Park in the United States. We will spend the day exploring the sublime beauty of this very unique place while Bill Potter tells us about westward expansion and manifest destiny, introducing us to a few of the colorful characters that made the West wild!  Lunch is provided at Stovepipe Wells with plenty of cold water!
