What Do These Stones Mean?

We are forgetful folks. The Lord commanded Joshua to take twelve stones and build an alter to remind the generation to come that He dried up the waters of the Jordan, as He had the Red Sea, and provided them a route to safety when there appeared to be none. At Landmark Events, our mission is to recount the works of God, great and small, so we might increase our trust in Him. Join staff historian Bill Potter and a host of other great guides as we remember God’s provision through the ages.

“That all the people of the earth might know the hand of the LORD, that it is mighty: that ye might fear the LORD your God for ever.” —Joshua 4:24
