It should not surprise us that every generation is tempted to reinterpret the past according to its own priorities.

At the Colonial 250 Symposium in Williamsburg, we’ll examine not only what happened in 1776, but how the story has been told, revised, and sometimes distorted over the past 250 years. Our goal is not simply to recover forgotten facts, but to pursue truth with humility before the God who governs history.
