— CHARLESTON — Patriots, Preachers, Plantations — & WWII Vets!
oin Landmark Events historian Bill Potter and special guests, WWII veterans Herb and Ed Griffin, as we explore the rich history of Charleston, South Carolina. We will walk the ramparts of Fort Moultrie where American gunners defeated the British in June of 1776. We’ll enjoy the ferry ride out to Fort Sumter where the shots fired in April of 1861 initiated a war that claimed 700,000 American soldiers. We will introduce you to the illustrious Dr. John Girardeau, an unrelenting minister of the Gospel that transcended those turbulent times. We will also enjoy the glory of the South as we visit Boone Hall a bone fide plantation — straight out of the 1700s.

Our family has travelled extensively and this was our first faith-based tour. There is something patently different about traveling with a group of believers and learning about the sights from a Christian perspective. It was an extraordinary trip that deepened our faith and bonded our family.” —Kerry N. |

There’s much more, including a private tour of the world’s first combat submarine, lots of historic churches and so many inspirational stories you’ll be amazed and encouraged. In a fitting finale for such a tour, we will host a private dinner to honor our WWII veterans onboard the USS Yorktown, a WWII aircraft carrier!
