To realize this dystopian vision, everyone who admires the accomplishments of their ancestors, loves and appreciates the benefits of freedom bounded by Constitutional law, and still believes in the now maligned theology based on fixed Christian truth, moral values and the sovereign providential oversight of the Creator, must be gotten out of the way of “progressivism.”

The historians of Landmark Events hold firmly to the proposition that we are all recipients of the beliefs, events, and wisdom of the past and that they are a result of the eternal decrees of Almighty God. A proper knowledge of history is essential to understand the workings of the Sovereign God of the Bible, and that objective truth in principle and inference in the Scriptures is knowable and supremely important. God has placed a great calling upon each of us to teach history in all places on earth in which great men and events came together to move history along the path to the completion of His Kingdom. Goodness and evil have coexisted since the days of Adam and Eve and God has used both to fulfill his will for mankind. We consider it crucial to safeguard not only the firm facts of history but also our “stones of remembrance,” preserved throughout the ages for those who come after and who will ask “What do they mean?”

Well-funded radical Marxist and “woke” historians and institutions are obsessive in their dedication to destroying as many markers as they can, especially in the last four years. The destruction of monuments to fallen heroes, the desecration of cemeteries, and the elimination or wholesale reinterpretation of American history have proceeded in government schools and the public square without interruption. Your donations enable us to fight back in our classrooms at the historic sites themselves with the truth about the past and equip the next generation of Christian historians through our Future of History project.

We saw at least twice as many sights per day as we would have seen if we were vacationing on our own and we would have missed all of Mr. Potter’s rich history lessons.”

Training the next generation of faithful Christian historians is one of our major concerns for both what and how to teach history. Learning historiography, developing communication skills, reading the best books and articles, and most importantly, applying a Christian worldview and “Providential” understanding of the past, requires learning from the best Christian historians willing to share their wisdom and expertise. Last summer we launched the project with a weeklong symposium with some of the most skilled Christian historians as our instructors. Our students learned from Dr. Paul Jehle, Colonel John Eidsmoe, Dr. Bill Potter, Curtis Bowers, Bernie Beall, Aaron Bradford, and Mary Turley. The effort was a rousing success, and we are determined to expand that teaching again in 2025, as well as institute a series of in-the-field, content-heavy “deep-dive” practicums into key areas of American history and their long-standing effect on our nation.

The Heart of American History Landmark tour was such a wonderful experience. My expectations were exceeded from the historians to the level of planning and service included in the registration price. It was truly an incredible value and a worthwhile investment that we will never forget.”
