Description

Historiography is the study of the writing and teaching of history. According to Christian historian George Marsden, there is very little study of the philosophy of history or historiography among historians, because of the almost universality of secular and humanist presuppositions within the profession. Built on the sands of evolution, Marxism, and pseudo-scientific humanist disciplines, every generation changes the interpretation of the past in order to suit the most recent political or popular fad of humanist religion like environmentalism, critical race theory, or post-modernist nihilism.

Historian Bill Potter will address some of the issues of historiography in the creation of the modern-day apriori assumptions behind the destructive revisionism we see around us. He will introduce issues and themes that a Christian historian needs to understand as a counter-cultural historian in a world seeking to dissolve revealed truth and objective reality.
