About the Event

Get ready for seven fantastic days experiencing the geology, history and beauty of the Grand Canyon from a distinctly Christian perspective! We have room for 28 people on the rafts including geologist Dr. Tim Clarey of the Institute of Creation Research. You will enjoy a sunset dinner cruise on Lake Mead before taking an early morning scenic flight to Marble Canyon where we put in at Grand Canyon mile 0 of the mighty Colorado River. Our adventure covers 188 miles with over 60 whitewater rapids in 6 days, each day descending deeper into geologic time. You will travel by motorized rafts during the day and sleep under an awesome canopy of stars at night as you learn of God’s mighty hand of judgement, redemption and creation along the way. Event Highlights

The Grand Canyon is one of the most amazing features on the planet, descending over a mile into the earth and as much as 18 miles in width. Spend the week encouraging your faith as our guides reveal the truth of God’s creation found in this gigantic remnant of the Biblical Flood, and have a load of fun in the process!

We have chartered two rafts from Western River Expeditions in order to provide you with a safe, fun, and informative experience that is unique to all other tours offered in the Canyon. We have customized Western’s standard tour in many ways; adding Dr. Clarey to help us with the geology, including Marriott rooms, Las Vegas to Marble Canyon Flights, Park Service fees and suggesting modesty guidelines on dress for guests and guides (shirts and shorts, no bare midriffs, modest in coverage, style and appearance) to maximize your comfort and enjoyment. Please keep this in mind when looking over the outfitters guide. *If you have questions regarding exactly what is included, call Landmark Events at (210) 885-9351.

We have included links from Western’s website to give you helpful information on what to expect on the river, how to pack, physical capability and many other facets of the trip. You will also see a suggested outfitters guide that they have assembled for river trips. Please understand you do not need to rush out and buy everything they suggest, nor are you required to purchase through Western.
