Dr. James J. S. Johnson
Dr. Jim Johnson is an adventurer, birdwatcher, hiker, and teacher at heart, ready to share Grand Canyon’s wildlife ecology and some Providential history. On 9 different international cruise ships Jim served as a naturalist and/or historian (for Norwegian Cruise Line, Orient Lines, and Royal Caribbean), plus Jim has taught various creation ecology and Prvidential history courses for Dallas Christian College. Jim has also taught at LeTourneau University, Concordia University Texas, Tyndale Theological Seminary, plus guest-lectured for Southern Methodist University, Montgomery College at Rockville, and a Swedish Bible college. Jim often speaks at churches and to other groups, as well as teaching at the Institute for Creation Research (online and ACSI lectures), on a mix of topics, especially creation ecology and Providential history. Jim’s interdisciplinary education (Bible, biology, history, geography, etc.) is eclectic (with degrees from Wake Forest University, University of North Carolina, ECCS, Tyndale Theological Seminary, etc.), as are his professional certifications (water quality monitoring, paternity establishment, forensic science for litigation, etc.). Jim writes for ACTS & FACTS, scientific publications (e.g., CRSQ), and for a birdwatching blog (Leesbird.com), and has authored 2 books and many articles on creation ecology and Providential history.
