Teach Them Diligently was born out of a recognized need for more events that celebrate Gospel-Centered homeschooling. It is their mission to help families fulfill the Great Commission by providing them with opportunities to unite around the Gospel, and with resources that encourage, equip, and inspire them to bring up and educate their children as ambassadors for Christ.

Families attend homeschool conventions to attend workshops, purchase educational products, and hear from professionals, but an important piece that should not be overlooked is camaraderie. After spending time in the neighborhood, at family outings, or even church—where there are a limited number of homeschoolers—it can become painfully obvious that our family priorities don’t match those around us. However, at TTD conventions, you are surrounded by thousands of like-minded homeschool families and the feeling of revival is electric! The experience of genuine camaraderie is even further multiplied by the fact that the majority of those who attend are Christians who are seeking to disciple their children too—not just to educate them.

East Tennessee boasts a history all its own. The hardiest of the Ulster immigrants from Ireland, known to history in America as the Scots-Irish, traversed the great wagon road in the mid-18th Century out of Virginia, through North Carolina lands and into the wilderness world of the native tribes. From the Cherokee they purchased, leased, and squatted on the forested mountains and valleys, creating the Watauga settlement and others. Along the Holston, Nolichucky, Tennessee and Watauga Rivers settled families surnamed Bean, Robertson, Honeycutt, Houston, Glenn, Elliot, Stuart, Doak, Sevier, and other hearty pioneers. Those “over the mountain men” built homes and forts, planted crops, and fought for their lives in the French and Indian War, Lord Dunmore’s War, and the War that created the American Republic. They established representative government, churches, and schools, transplanting folkways of their past. Join us as we visit a few of the key historic sites and see what God wrought in the past in the beautiful but sweat-equity and blood-bought pioneer days of Eastern Tennessee.

Join Landmark Events for a day of guided historical exploration in the Ozarks as we visit five significant heritage sites near Branson. The tour begins at the Veterans Memorial Museum, where we examine the human cost of American military conflict and the stories of those who served. At the Ralph Foster Museum on the College of the Ozarks campus, we explore frontier culture, craftsmanship, and the social development of the region. From the Peninsula Lookout above Table Rock Lake, we study how dam construction transformed the White River valley and displaced long-standing communities. In Forsyth, we learn how the Civil War divided local residents and shaped everyday life in small Missouri towns. The final stop is the Christian County Courthouse in Ozark, where the Bald Knobbers vigilante movement provides a case study in law, order, and social tension in the late 19th-century Ozarks. This tour is ideal for home-educating families and lifelong learners alike.
